FIRSTJOBZ is a UK job board built for one thing: first jobs. Every role on it is entry-level, pulled live from employers' own systems, free to browse and free to apply. And it is built so that a young person can use all of it without giving us anything a parent would worry about. This page exists so you can check that claim yourself.

One thing to know up front: the board itself is for over-18s — school leavers, sixth formers turning eighteen, students and graduates. The guides are for anyone thinking ahead, including what work is legal at sixteen, but the live roles are for when they are eighteen. What we hold about your child.

Most job sites are a CV database wearing a jobs page — the vacancies exist to collect the person. We built the opposite, and it is simplest to just list it:

• No email address. There is no email field anywhere in the product. We could not send marketing to your child if we wanted to — there is nothing to send it to.
• No password. Sign-in is a passkey: the Face ID or fingerprint already on their phone. There is no password to invent, reuse from somewhere else, or have stolen.
• No CV, no phone number, no date of birth, no address. Applications happen on the employer's own website, through the employer's own process. We never sit in the middle and we never keep a copy.
• A first name they choose to show. That is the entire profile. It can be anything they like.

We put the same promise in our privacy page in one line: we cannot lose what we do not have. A data breach here has nothing in it.

What we keep off the board.

A first-jobs board is only useful if a first-jobber can trust what is on it, so the filtering is strict and it applies to every employer without exception:

• Entry-level only. Every role passes a first-job test before it is stored. No "own your own business" schemes, no franchise fees, no commission-only doorstep work dressed up as a job.
• No gambling and no adult-industry listings. Ever.
• Verified employers are marked. The ✓ badge means the employer's domain and Companies House record have been checked.
• Every card can be reported. The ⚑ flag sits on every single listing, and a reported job is reviewed by a person.

Built for the questions that actually decide it.

Whether a first job works usually comes down to practical things, so those are built in:

• Can they get there? Job locations link straight to public-transport directions — one tap answers whether a shift is reachable by bus before anyone applies.
• Will they hear about the right roles? They pick the employers they care about and the site pings their phone when those employers post. No inbox, no newsletter — a notification they chose, switched off in one tap.
• Do they know what to say? The guides cover CVs, interviews, what jobs at 16 are legal, what to wear and what a first shift is like — written for someone who has never done any of it before.

The things parents ask first.

• Is it really free? Yes. Browsing and applying is free for job seekers and always will be. We never charge a candidate for anything.
• How can they sign in with no email and no password? A passkey. Their phone proves it is them with Face ID or a fingerprint, the same way banking apps do. We receive a cryptographic yes, never the fingerprint or the face.
• What do you get out of it? Employers pay to reach first-jobbers. Job seekers are never the product and never the payer — we do not sell data, because we do not hold any worth selling.
• Can they delete it? Yes, in one tap, from settings. Deleting the account deletes it — there is no archived copy and no "come back" email, because there is no email.

Two ways to ask, one of them holds nothing at all.

Or, from inside the board, send us a note. If pings are switched on, our reply arrives as a notification on the phone — no email address is involved at either end, and the note itself is deleted within thirty days. A support channel that proves the promise this page makes.
