Help Shape the Future of AI in Healthcare

What if the medical knowledge and clinical skills you're developing could help improve how artificial intelligence understands complex healthcare information, evaluates medical scenarios, and delivers more accurate, reliable responses?

At Volga Partners, we're connecting medical students, residents, and advanced healthcare trainees with opportunities to contribute to the evaluation and improvement of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.

We're seeking individuals currently pursuing medical education or completing supervised clinical training in General Practice, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant pathways.

This opportunity is designed for candidates who can apply their academic knowledge, clinical training, and evidence-based reasoning to evaluate AI-generated medical information.

This is not a traditional clinical position. You will not provide direct patient care, diagnose actual patients, or make treatment decisions for real patients. Instead, you'll assess medical scenarios, evaluate clinical reasoning, identify inaccuracies, and provide structured feedback to help improve AI model performance.

Previous AI experience is not required. We're looking for candidates with a strong foundation in medical knowledge, analytical thinking, and an interest in applying their education to emerging healthcare technology.

Areas of Medical Education & Clinical Training

We're seeking qualified students and trainees in the following five areas:

1. General Practice:

Medical students in their third or fourth year, medical interns, or residents pursuing a broad foundation in general medical practice.

Ideal candidates have education or clinical exposure in:

  • General patient assessment and clinical evaluation.
  • Recognition and management principles for common medical conditions.
  • Preventive medicine and general healthcare practices.
  • Medical history review and interpretation of clinical findings.
  • Fundamental diagnostic reasoning and evidence-based medical decision-making.

2. Family Medicine

Third- or fourth-year medical students, medical interns, or residents with clinical training, rotations, or demonstrated interest in family medicine.

Relevant experience may include:

  • Primary care across different age groups and patient populations.
  • Evaluation of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Preventive care, wellness, and health screenings.
  • Differential diagnosis and general treatment planning principles.
  • Interpretation of medical histories, clinical findings, and evidence-based guidelines.

3. Internal Medicine

Third- or fourth-year medical students, medical interns, or residents with clinical training, rotations, or an interest in internal medicine.

Relevant knowledge and experience may include:

  • Adult medicine and management principles for common or complex conditions.
  • Interpretation of laboratory results and diagnostic findings.
  • Recognition of multisystem diseases and related complications.
  • Development and evaluation of differential diagnoses.
  • Evidence-based approaches to clinical assessment and medical management.

4. Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Students currently enrolled in a recognized Nurse Practitioner educational program, particularly those completing advanced coursework or supervised clinical training.

Ideal candidates have education or experience in:

  • Advanced health assessment and patient evaluation.
  • Pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical management principles.
  • Diagnostic reasoning and interpretation of medical findings.
  • Evidence-based treatment planning and healthcare practices.
  • Patient education, preventive care, and healthcare quality standards.

Candidates pursuing Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) pathways are especially encouraged to apply.

5. Physician Assistant (PA) / Physician Associate

Students currently enrolled in a recognized Physician Assistant or Physician Associate program, preferably in the clinical phase of training.

Relevant educational and clinical experience may include:

  • Patient assessment, medical history review, and physical examination.
  • Clinical rotations in primary care, internal medicine, or family medicine.
  • Differential diagnosis and interpretation of diagnostic findings.
  • Evidence-based treatment and patient management principles.
  • Medical documentation and evaluation of clinical scenarios.

What You'll Do

As a Medical AI Evaluator, you'll apply your medical education and clinical training to assess how accurately AI systems interpret healthcare information and reason through medical scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-Generated Medical Content: Review AI-generated healthcare information for factual accuracy, completeness, clinical relevance, and consistency with established medical knowledge and guidelines.
  • Assess Clinical Reasoning: Evaluate AI-generated assessments, differential diagnoses, and treatment-related explanations to determine whether conclusions are medically sound and supported by appropriate evidence.
  • Identify Medical Inaccuracies: Recognize factual errors, unsupported assumptions, missing clinical considerations, and potential patient safety concerns in AI-generated responses.
  • Conduct Medical Research and Verification: Validate information using credible sources, including peer-reviewed medical literature, clinical practice guidelines, and established healthcare resources.
  • Review Clinical Scenarios: Analyze hypothetical patient cases, symptoms, medical histories, laboratory findings, and diagnostic information to evaluate AI-generated interpretations.
  • Provide Evidence-Based Feedback: Clearly explain findings, identify inaccuracies, and recommend appropriate corrections supported by medical evidence and clinical standards.
  • Apply Evaluation Standards: Consistently follow project-specific scoring rubrics, annotation instructions, and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Complete Assigned Evaluations: Perform independent evaluation tasks using designated online platforms, including DataCompute, while meeting established deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Professional Standards: Protect sensitive project information and comply with applicable privacy, ethical, and data security requirements.
