About The Twenty Two

Behind a Georgian door on Grosvenor Square, The Twenty Two brings together a private members club, 31 bedrooms and suites, a night club and a restaurant open to members and to the public.

Our members return week after week, which means the standard has to be the same every service. It is a demanding kitchen, and a rewarding one for chefs who take that seriously.

The role

We are looking for a Chef de Partie to run their section through every service, deliver consistent quality under pressure, and help develop the Commis Chefs working alongside you.

This will suit a chef who is already confident on a section in a quality kitchen and who is looking for the next step. We promote from within wherever we can, and we will invest in your development to make that possible.

What you will be doing
  • Running your section through every service, from mise en place to handover
  • Preparing and presenting dishes precisely to the Head Chef's recipes and specifications
  • Cooking across the restaurant, members offer, private dining and events, so that no two weeks are quite the same
  • Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP records, temperature logs, allergen controls and cleaning schedules
  • Managing stock rotation, ordering support and waste control
  • Contributing ideas to menu development and seasonal changes
  • Covering other sections and deputising for the Sous Chef when required
What we are looking for

Essential

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie, or as a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up, in a quality restaurant, hotel or private members club
  • A culinary qualification (NVQ, City and Guilds or equivalent) or equivalent practical training
  • Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certification, or the commitment to complete it shortly after joining
  • Sound working knowledge of allergen management and HACCP
  • Composure and precision through high volume service
  • A collaborative approach and real respect for the people around you
  • The right to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable

  • Experience in a luxury hotel, private members club
  • Experience of banqueting or large scale private events
  • Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene certification
What we offer
  • 28 days of annual leave inclusive of public holidays, rising with service
  • Meals on duty and laundered uniform provided
  • Pension scheme with employer contributions
  • Employee assistance programme, including confidential counselling and financial and legal guidance
  • Funded qualifications, supplier visits and stages, with a clear route to development
  • Discounted stays and food and beverage across our London and New York properties
  • Refer a friend bonus of £500
  • Long service recognition and regular team events
