Are you a proactive, caring individual who thrives on nurturing young minds and supporting children during their crucial early learning journey? Harleston Sancroft Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Primary Phase community, where every child’s unique path is valued and celebrated.

Why Sancroft?

At the heart of our school lies a deep commitment to the "whole child". Here, we believe that people matter first. Relationships are the foundation of everything we achieve, and we have built a school where both pupils and staff are encouraged not just to participate, but to truly thrive. In our Primary Phase, your daily contributions in the classroom will make a tangible, lasting difference to our younger learners every single day.

The Role

You will play a vital role in supporting classroom learning, championing a safe, inclusive, and joyful educational environment. Working alongside our dedicated teaching team, you will help deliver rich learning experiences, facilitate active play, and ensure that every pupil feels secure, supported, and celebrated.

A background as a skilled Early Years Practitioner (EYFS) is highly desirable, as we place strong value on child-initiated learning, foundational development, and rich play experiences.

The Ideal Candidate

You are someone who promotes respect, kindness, and curiosity both inside and outside the classroom. You see potential in every interaction, possess boundless patience, and have the warmth and communication skills needed to engage primary-aged children effectively.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds experience or strong skills as an Early Years Practitioner (desirable).
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of early child development and play-based learning.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable nature.
  • Is looking for a rewarding role within a supportive community where your talents will be nurtured.

Working Pattern:

Monday – Friday 08:30-12:30 (finishing at 12noon on one day, day TBC)
