Post: School Cleaner

Grade: 2

Responsible to: Site Manager

Working Time: 12.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Salary £7,435 per year (actual)

We are looking to recruit a cleaner to maintain the high standards of cleaning across our setting. This is an important role that helps ensure a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our children, staff, and visitors.

The post is for 2.5 hours per day Monday to Friday, term time only. There may, on occasions, be the opportunity to do additional hours to cover sickness etc.

You should be prepared to work between the hours of either 6am and 8:30am Monday - Friday or 3pm and 5:30pm Monday - Friday. Duties will include cleaning a designated area and involve: vacuuming, toilet cleaning, dusting, window cleaning, sweeping, mopping and furniture cleaning. The post may also include the periodic operation of electrical cleaning machinery such as buffing machines.

Candidates will be expected to be self-motivated, a good team worker with an eye for detail and able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given on site.
