Are you looking to begin a career in Grounds Maintenance, or looking for a career move? We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to join our Grounds Maintenance team, to assist with the delivery of a customer orientated and effective service, at locations across the Torridge district. As part of the role you will be supported through a Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative qualification at Bicton College.
You will work alongside your colleagues, undertaking a variety of duties to include; grass cutting, hedge trimming, sports pitch maintenance, weeding, planting and all other aspects of grounds maintenance. The role will also involve assisting the Ranger team to undertake nature conservation work at the Council’s Local Nature Reserves and Northam Burrows Country Park. Tasks will involve scrub clearance, tree weeding, coppicing, tree planting, meadow cutting, green hay, fencing and other duties aimed at improving biodiversity on these sites.
