Listing ref 6984ad645e

Night Cleaner – Hotel & Leisure | SeaSpace, Cornwall | 4 nights on, 4 days off - 10pm to 6:30am (Overnight hours)

We’re matching real SEA spirit with the SPACE, flex and freedom to choose how you live it. That’s SeaSpace.

At SeaSpace, it’s not just a job – it’s a chance to be part of a community.

Our Night Cleaner role:

We’re looking for a Night Cleaner to keep our communal and front-of-house spaces in great shape. You’ll ensure that our walkways, pool, and lounge areas are clean, tidy and ready to welcome our guests. This is a salaried position with an average of 28 hours per week, with shifts from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, working four nights on and four days off on a rolling rota.

Taking over from our daytime Housekeeping team, you’ll focus on the areas that see the most foot traffic, leaving plenty of time for those finishing touches. You’ll be working independently in a varied role, enjoying a mix of tasks every shift and setting your own cleaning routine and rhythms. You’ll also be on-site with our Night House Manager, working alongside one another as a dynamic duo.

You’ll get our hotel morning ready for our guests, members and team and cover a large floor area. Your responsibilities will include cleaning our floors, ensuring our toilets are tidy and well stocked, and taking ownership of our gym and pool areas.

It’s a role suited for a solo cleaner that enjoys their own company and is happy with overnight working hours.

Due to the late-night and early morning hours, our Night House Manager will be on-site at all times, responsible for ensuring the overall safety and compliance of our hotel, giving you the freedom to clean and give our spaces the love they deserve. You will also be in regular radio communication for any potential questions or queries that arise.

As our Night Cleaner you’ll be:

  • Restocking, refreshing and keeping toilets sparkling.
  • Vacuuming and mopping our front-of-house areas.
  • Making our reception spotless and ready to greet guests.
  • Keeping our Gym and Spa zones clean, glowing and inviting.
  • Cleaning and stocking our changing rooms and pool area.
  • Polishing our windows and ensuring areas remain dust-free
  • Supporting our Night and Housekeeping Managers
  • Staying up to date with our Housekeeping training
  • Following all health and safety rules and regulations
  • Using the right cleaners and acting as our chemical-pro
  • Supporting our wider SeaSpace team on an ad-hoc basis

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

  • You’re proactive, motivated and know how to get things done
  • You’re organised, efficient and always on top of things
  • You have experience in a similar housekeeping role and/or have a desire to move into overnight cleaning work
  • You work well independently and as part of a small team
  • You have great attention to detail and take pride in getting things right

What we offer:

  • A relaxed, professional place to work in a beautiful location
  • Excellent career prospects in an ever-expanding organisation
  • Team rates for you, friends and family at Watergate Bay Hotel, SeaSpace, and Another Place
  • Reduced gym membership rates (gym, classes, no pool) for on-site team
  • Discounts on treatments in Swim Club
  • Discounts across our restaurants, facilities and partner businesses
  • Free surf lessons, surfboards and wetsuits hire from Wavehunters
  • Team social events throughout the year
  • Team assistance scheme – a dedicated helpline for support & advice on topics from mental health through to managing your finances

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment, you’ll find yourself in a supportive group of likeminded people with a shared outlook on life, where friendship, connection, flexibility, variety and challenge make every working day worthwhile.
