Support Worker

Listing ref b5d4cde2c3

About The Company

At Salutem Care and Education, we are dedicated to ensuring the people we support are empowered to live as they choose. We pride ourselves on being innovative and solution focused.

We are looking for new recruits for the Mill Lane Team who will commit to the Salutem values whilst supporting one person throughout each day.

At Mill Lane we support up to five people to do the things they want and need to do. Each person is supported by one team member, typically from 08.30 until 20.30, so the day shift duration is 12 hours. Overnight support is from two team members working the waking night shift. People need consistent support so weekend working and working over bank holidays is required. This is allocated fairly between team members. Most people like to be able to plan in advance, so we produce a rota which enables you to do this, but we understand the pressures of modern life and try hard to be flexible to your needs as well as to those of the people we support.

Working at Mill Lane is a great opportunity to support people the way you would wish to, without the need to rush or cut corners. You can have a good time whilst supporting in a truly person-centred way, planning days out, visiting attractions or meeting people in the community. You will be supporting people to meet their physical and hygiene needs and nutritional needs. You will need to take your turn at supporting with shopping, cooking and other housekeeping tasks.
