Work Where It Matters Most, Achieve What Matters More
Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.
We're looking for a friendly, reliable Cleaner to join our site team at Ormiston Denes Academy. Every day, our students and staff walk into classrooms, corridors and spaces that are clean, safe and ready for learning - and that's down to people like you. It's a role where your hard work is seen and genuinely appreciated, helping to create an environment where our young people can focus on doing their best.
About the Role
Working afternoons and early evenings, Monday to Friday from 3:15pm to 6:15pm, you'll be part of a supportive team led by our Site Manager and Cleaning Supervisor. Your day-to-day will include:
- Keeping classrooms, offices, corridors and toilets clean and tidy - dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing and emptying bins
- Getting rooms ready for lessons and meetings
- Restocking essentials such as soap and paper towels, and letting us know when supplies are running low
- Storing equipment and cleaning products safely
- Spotting and reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns, helping keep everyone safe
- Lending a hand with deep cleans during school holidays, with dates agreed well in advance
About You
No previous experience is needed - full training will be provided. What matters most is that you're punctual, take pride in a job well done and are happy to work hard as part of a team. An awareness of health and safety and safe use of cleaning products (COSHH) would be great, but we'll support you to learn. The role is active, involving regular bending, lifting and moving equipment, so you'll need to be comfortable on your feet.
