Were taking care of the nations health and it starts with you.As a General Hospital Porter at our Nuffield Health Manor Hospital, youll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, before and after surgery. Its also essential that youre happy to undergo our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, as part of your application.As a General Hospital Porter, you will:Management of waste streams (clinical, domestic, recycling, special)Security checks (early morning opening, evening lockdown, and ad hoc)Controlling access to the basement car parkManaging of patient transfers between departmentsManaging of both internal and external post (including recording of postal use by on-site third parties)Maintain the external environment to a high standard (including the basement car park)Moving furniture, equipment, medical gases to departments To support the Head Porter and Facilities Manager to ensure that the third party facilities providers are delivering to the agreed levels of service.Helping you feel good.We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued.
