Your Mission

As our Maintenance Engineer, you'll be joining a small, ambitious engineering team at a fast-growing food business - getting hands-on with a wide range of production equipment and building your skills in a place that genuinely invests in its people.

This is a great role for someone who's built solid foundations in mechanical maintenance and wants to develop further: working alongside experienced engineers, learning new systems, and taking real ownership of your work from day one.

You'll be responding to live breakdowns, running PPM schedules, and supporting improvement and installation projects as we grow.

No two days are the same, the kit is varied, and there's a real career path here for the right person. If you take pride in doing things properly, enjoy the satisfaction of keeping production flowing, and want to grow in a role where your contributions are visible: we'd love to hear from you.

This role involves working day time hours, Monday to Friday. Occasionally we'll need you for an evening or weekend, usually for planned installs, shutdowns or a major breakdown. If you're tired of 4 on/4 off or nights and want your evenings and weekends back, this role is for you.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns and carry out first-line fault diagnosis and repair
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and PPM completion

  • Keep workshop and spares organised and well-stocked
  • Build relationships with Production to support fast resolution of line issues
  • Develop knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and automation under guidance
