Job Title: Commercial Sales Coach Location: Hybrid / Travel across Nursery Sites Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer About the Role At our nursery group, central marketing drives high volume, high quality parent enquiries - but converting those enquiries requires a sharp, structured, and disciplined sales process. We are seeking a commercial, high performing Sales Coach with a proven track record in consultative B2C or multi-site sales environments to train, mentor, and drive performance across our Nursery Managers. While our managers are exceptional childcare practitioners, sales and pipeline management are not their core background. Your mission is to embed a high converting sales culture across our sites: sharpening response times, driving tour conversions, closing bookings against tight KPIs, and teaching our teams how to turn enquiries into long-term enrolments. Prior early years experience is preferred but not essential; we need your sales expertise, closing methodology, and coaching capability. Key Responsibilities Lead-to-Booking Sales Discipline: Coach Nursery Managers on rigorous outbound/inbound phone techniques, rapid lead follow-up, objection handling, and securing show-round commitments within strict time-to-contact KPIs. Show-Round Closing Techniques: Audit, refine, and coach the show-round process, teaching teams how to uncover parent needs, highlight unique value propositions, and confidently ask for the enrolment booking. Pipeline & KPI Management: Work directly with the CMO and marketing team to track lead performance, stage-by-stage conversion rates, and revenue impact, identifying bottleneck sites and running targeted sales intervention plans. Structured Sales Training & Mentorship: Design and execute structured sales playbooks, scripts, role-play sessions, and 1-on-1 performance coaching for new and established managers. Live Observation & Call Audits: Conduct regular site visits, mystery calls, and live show-round shadows to evaluate pitch quality, enforce sales standards, and provide immediate, actionable feedback. Sales Mindset Shift: Help childcare professionals embrace sales as an essential, high-value service to prospective parents, building their commercial confidence without compromising care standards. About You Proven B2C / Multi-Site Sales Success: Extensive background in consultative sales, direct-to-consumer lead conversion, or multi-unit sales coaching (e.g., fitness, hospitality, healthcare, property, retail, or subscription services). Mastery of Sales Fundamentals: Deep knowledge of sales funnels, speed-to-lead dynamics, pipeline management, closing strategies, and objection handling. Track Record of Driving Conversion Growth: Able to demonstrate how your coaching directly increased sales conversion rates and revenue in previous roles. Strong Trainer & Motivator: Exceptional ability to translate commercial sales concepts for non-sales professionals, building confidence and accountability through positive, practical coaching. Early Years Experience Preferred But Not Required: We provide the sector knowledge and operational support; you bring the sales execution rigor. Willingness to Travel: Comfortable spending time on-site across our nursery locations to conduct live sales shadowing and hands-on coaching. What We Offer Competitive base salary + uncapped performance bonus tied to group conversion KPIs Car allowance or travel expense coverage Flexible / hybrid working structure Generous childcare discount Opportunity to shape the commercial strategy of a rapidly growing group We are unable to offer any kind of visa sponsorship for this role.     We embrace everyone. Our goal is to create a truly inclusive culture and diverse workforce. We break down barriers so you can be your authentic self and flourish!     Kids Planet is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role. We expect all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment, and safeguarding training is a fundamental part of every role. All colleagues are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties.
