People Management – recruitment / inductions and ongoing performance and attendance management, submission of daily debrief with drivers and weekly reports required. Compliance – Legalities, Management of domestic driving hours (breaks/length of shifts/rest periods). Additional support on all driver compliance in depots Resourcing – effective utilisation of rosters. Essential skills and experience required: Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines Experience of managing teams in a fast-paced logistics environment is a definite advantage PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office Transport knowledge, skills or experience including regulations Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements
