We’re looking for an enthusiastic Recruitment Coordinator to provide high quality, innovative advice and solutions to support Devon County Council and partner organisations to attract and appoint staff. The team are based at County Hall in Exeter. The role will be hybrid with office attendance required each week, or full onsite working arrangements are available.
Delivering great service to candidates and managers alike is at the core of what we do, so you’ll need to have excellent communication skills and previous experience in a customer-facing environment. You’ll also need to be highly organised, with an ability to prioritise your workload effectively to ensure that recruitment activities progress in a timely manner. Previous experience within a recruitment or HR role is desired.
You will be required to provide a high quality, competitive and commercially aware recruitment service to Devon County Council and a range of external customers.
What will you do?
- Providing high-quality, policy-driven, recruitment advice to hiring managers, including supporting with HR system queries
- Processing and co-ordinating changes to details of employment in relation to internal processes such as job evaluations, redeployments and other changes such as contract basis changes.
- Liaising with internal and external managers to support with recruitment and change queries
- Responding to general queries from applicants and hiring managers
You will be required to support the recruitment team to deliver improvements in the quality of the service offered in line with Devon County Council’s objectives.
You will support the Recruitment Manager and Devon County Council in achieving its business objectives and the recruitment and retention strategy whilst promoting a strong customer focussed environment.
