As a Higher Level Learning Support Assistant (HLLSA) with Learn Devon, you’ll be the person who helps make that journey possible.

You’ll support learners to overcome barriers, build confidence, develop independence and achieve things they never thought possible.

Sometimes the difference you make will be academic.

Based on the current HLLSA role profile, the role centres on supporting learners, removing barriers to learning, working alongside tutors and promoting achievement and inclusion.

What will you be doing?
You’ll work alongside talented tutors and experienced colleagues to:

• Support learners in classrooms and online learning environments.
• Help individuals overcome barriers to learning.
• Encourage confidence, independence and resilience.
• Contribute to inclusive, welcoming learning environments.
• Help learners remain engaged and successful in their courses.
• Work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Record and evidence the impact of the support you provide.

No two days are the same.

One day you might be supporting a young person preparing for their next step in education.

The next you could be helping an adult return to learning after years away from the classroom.
