About the role:
My Future, My Way is Devon’s new countywide model for accommodation and support for young people aged 16–25. We are looking for an organised and proactive Commissioning Support Assistant to provide administrative and coordination support to the implementation and ongoing development of the programme.
Initially, the role will focus on supporting the implementation of My Future, My Way, working closely with commissioners, providers and partner agencies to help ensure services run smoothly and young people receive the support they need. Over time, the post may support other commissioning programmes and projects across the wider Social Care Commissioning team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys working with a range of partners and wants to contribute to improving outcomes for young people across Devon, and/or someone looking to gain experience in Commissioning.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and project support to the My Future, My Way programme and wider commissioning team.
- Organise and support multi-agency meetings, workshops and engagement events, including preparing agendas, taking notes and tracking actions.
- Produce routine reports, spreadsheets and presentations to support programme monitoring and governance requirements.
- Support provider engagement activities and communications, ensuring information is shared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain project plans, risk logs, action trackers and key programme records.
- Help ensure commissioning processes, documents and guidance materials are kept up to date and accessible.
- Support with producing guidance, process and training materials for operational teams and providers.
Who we’re looking for:
You will bring:
- Experience of working in an administrative, support or coordination role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience of organising meetings and following up actions.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to learn and support a range of projects.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- An understanding of, or interest in, services that support children, young people and families.
