Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

A little about us.
  • We are different in many ways (that’s what makes us so interesting) with our ages being late 50’s to and late 80’s.
  • We all use wheelchairs around the house and when we go out into the community with help from our staff.
  • We are free to move around all communal areas of our home in our wheelchairs.
  • We have different challenges in our lives which include non-verbal autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and learning disabilities. Our house is very loud day and night. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting someone with similar needs.
  • It would be good if our housemate enjoyed outdoor activities including, bowling, going on bus rides, going to the seaside, going for drives out in the house car.
    • Other interests we have are listening and singing to music (from the 60’s and 80’s), visiting local charity shops, getting involved with home baking and going for meals out sometimes too.
    • Some qualities we both identified as desirable for our housemate are that they are: fun loving, kind, can have a laugh / good sense of humour, caring, easy-going, can be sociable, respectful of other people’s personal space and belongings, enjoys musicals and enjoy singing along to music.
