Our 64-place nursery is set across four single-storey barns in a beautiful woodland setting, and we’re looking for an experienced Room Leader to join our team.

About the role

As a Room Leader, you’ll take the lead in creating a happy, engaging and supportive environment where both children and your team can thrive.

You’ll support and inspire your team, help maintain high standards of care and education and make sure every child has opportunities to learn, explore and develop.

With our woodland setting, Forest School and onsite farm, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to bring learning to life and encourage your team to think beyond the nursery room.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need a Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare, along with experience working within an Early Years setting.

You’ll be someone who enjoys supporting others, can confidently lead a team and is passionate about creating the best possible experiences for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
  • Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
  • Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
  • Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
