As Assistant Chef, you will be part of a small kitchen team, serving delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals that our residents will love. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will work opposite shifts, taking the lead and responsibility for the kitchen when the Head Chef is not on duty. On these shifts, you will ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and that high standards of food service are maintained. You'll provide high-quality food service to support residents, responding to their needs and contributing to their overall positive experience in the home. You will also help to ensure the Kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.

About you:

As an Assistant Chef at BCG, you will strive to deliver person-centred hospitality to the highest standards. You will need previous experience of working in a kitchen environment and should be confident taking responsibility for and leading the kitchen during your shifts when the Head Chef is not on duty. Ideally you should have an SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.

Successful candidates are subject to satisfactory references and a PVG check and must be authorised to work in the UK.
