- Uphold high housekeeping and hygiene standards to maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant working environment
- Comply with all Health & Safety, COSHH, and Manual Handling regulations, attending required training sessions
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times
- Assist in preparing operating equipment for functions, inventories, and daily service requirements
- Wash, polish, and inspect operating equipment and utensils to ensure cleanliness before distribution
- Empty bins, sort refuse, and manage waste areas in line with hotel policies
- Clean and disinfect refuse areas, ensuring they remain sanitary and organised
- Wash, disinfect, degrease, dry, and polish floors, walls, and kitchen equipment before, during, and after service
- Support cleaning of operating equipment during banqueting or peak service periods
- Assist in maintaining staff facilities, including locker rooms and other back‑of‑house spaces
- Act as a point of contact for junior stewards, offering guidance and support during shifts
- Help train new team members on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety standards
- Take responsibility for a designated stewarding area, ensuring tasks are completed to standard
- Monitor stock levels of chemicals and cleaning supplies, reporting replenishment needs
- Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure equipment and facilities remain in good working order

- 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry
- Intermediate communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Able to work well under pressure in fast-paced and changing environment
- Proven organizational skills, work well on their own, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others
- Willing to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
- A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization
