About The Role
As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of 10-15 staff on a fast-moving food line.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Efficient teamworking, ensuring a cohesive operational unit.
- Completion of relevant documentation efficiently and appropriately.
- Training of colleagues within your department, to adhere to SOPs.
- Supervise the safe working and well-being of all employees deployed within your area of operations.
- Ensuring your team are equipped with the correct safety equipment (PPE) for the appropriate task and ensure it is used as per training requirements.
- To meet orders in the given time, team leaders will receive orders from their FLM and will need to be able to act on them promptly.
- Monitor and maintain minimal product and material wastage.
- Ensure adherence to the strict housekeeping and hygiene standards expected by the company and its customers.
It is of paramount importance that your line operates as a team, including and supporting one another to achieve production targets.
About You
As a Team Leader you need to be a people person with excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
Other skills and attributes required for the role include;
- Site, Company and Product knowledge in order to help tutor and coach operatives within your team when necessary (training and support will be given to external applicants.
- Self-motivated and a high level of resilience.
- Quality conscious
- IOSH Managing Safety
- Food Safety level 2/3
- A good standard of understanding with maths and English.
To be great at this role you will need to be a responsible, mature and self-motivated person.
