We’re looking for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at The Ship — a busy riverside pub where great food, big energy and a brilliant team come together.

Whether you’re already working as a Commis Chef, an experienced Kitchen Porter ready to take the next step, or just starting out in hospitality, we want to hear from you.

You’ll work alongside an experienced kitchen team, learn from talented chefs and get hands-on experience producing fresh, quality food in a fast-paced environment.

  • Getting stuck in across the kitchen and supporting the team during busy services

  • Helping prepare and deliver fresh, high-quality food

  • Learning new techniques and developing your kitchen skills

  • Working closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver consistently great dishes

  • Keeping high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety

  • Taking the next steps towards progressing your career as a chef

You might already be a Commis Chef, an excellent Kitchen Porter ready for your next challenge, or someone looking to start building a career in the kitchen.
