We’re looking for a Bartender who knows their Old Fashioned from their Espresso Martini — and, more importantly, knows how to make people feel welcome.

The Gun is a proper East London favourite, sitting opposite Spitalfields Market and bringing together great food, craft drinks, cocktails, events and a whole lot of personality. From after-work drinks and weekend brunches to cocktail masterclasses and lively DJ nights, there’s rarely a dull moment behind our bar.

We’re looking for a confident, charismatic and switched-on Bartender to join our team.

What you’ll be doing

• Mixing and serving great cocktails, beers, wines and spirits with confidence and consistency
• Creating a warm, fun and memorable experience for every guest
• Keeping the bar looking sharp, stocked and running smoothly — even when things get gloriously busy
• Recommending drinks and talking guests through our menu without making them feel like they’re sitting an exam
• Working closely with the wider team to deliver brilliant service from first drink to last orders
• Getting involved in events, masterclasses and the general mayhem that comes with a busy Spitalfields venue
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organization and responsible service

What we’re looking for

Cocktail experience is preferable, but attitude, personality and a genuine passion for hospitality matter just as much.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous bartending experience in a busy pub, bar, restaurant or cocktail-led venue
• A good understanding of cocktails, spirits and classic serves
• Confidence working at pace without sacrificing quality
• A natural ability to chat to guests and make them feel at home
• A positive, can-do attitude and a good sense of humour
• Great attention to detail — because nobody wants a Negroni that tastes like a sad glass of squash
• The ability to work well as part of a team and keep your cool when the bar is three-deep
