Join Financial Crime Operations as a Financial Crime Controls Consultant and play a key role in providing control reporting, process improvement, and expert challenge across two key teams. The Business Through Personal (BTP) team is predominantly focused on identifying personal current accounts that are being misused for business purposes and the up-and-coming Customer Due Diligence Validation & Outliers (CDD V&O) team will be responsible for verifying customer data input and investigating higher risk outlier data points. Working across these established and evolving operations, including supporting the continued build-out of the CDD V&O function, you will help ensure investigations, decisions and controls are robust, consistent and aligned to regulatory requirements and internal standards.

In this role, you will use your financial crime expertise to identify risks, assess control effectiveness and drive continuous improvement through quality reviews, trend analysis and constructive challenge. You will work closely with operational teams and stakeholders to strengthen processes, improve customer outcomes and embed a culture of excellence, accountability and risk awareness.

Working closely with operational teams, managers and key stakeholders, you will act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing coaching, guidance and challenge to improve investigation quality, control adherence and customer outcomes. You will support the development of processes, procedures and control frameworks, using data and trend analysis to influence positive change, reduce risk and embed a culture of excellence, learning and continuous improvement across the wider financial crime function.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced investigator with a strong background in financial services or economic crime, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for strengthening controls through independent judgement. The successful candidate will have proven investigative experience and the confidence to challenge effectively while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
