We are seeking an exceptional Security Officer to join our Security team at Claridge’s.

Security
Working as part of the Security department at Claridge’s is a refined blend of vigilance, discretion and unwavering professionalism. As part of our dedicated Security team, you will operate with a quiet confidence, ensuring that every guest, colleague and space is safeguarded with impeccable care. Whether welcoming guests or maintaining the serene flow of the hotel, you will serve as the discreet guardians of the guest experience.
As Security Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Protecting and safeguarding, guests, employees and company in relation to all matters involving security, fire, bomb and health and safety.
- Carrying out patrols of the hotel throughout each shift.
- Being fully conversant in the use of the hotel locking system.
- Ensuring that during a shift, that a tight control is kept on the issue of all keys and that they are properly signed for and returned and that general surveillance is carried out within the hotel during a shift.
- Ensuring that only current employees are permitted to enter the hotel and that all contractors and visitors are to be documented or issued visitors or contractors passes.
- Being fully conversant at all times with the current fire and bomb threat procedures and to comply with those directions.
- Assisting in drills and alarm tests and in fire training of staff and to carry out spot checks of firefighting equipment and report any defects.
- Becoming familiar with the location of firefighting and first aid equipment.
- Ensuring that spot checks are carried out on staff leaving hotel premises in relation to the contents of bags etc, and to carry out those searches in accordance with the police and criminal evidence act as far as is possible and with the rights of the employees considered. Maintain records of such searches.
- Investigating any allegations or incidents which occur, to assist management and to report all incidents in accordance with procedures and to take such action as is necessary.
Successful candidates for our Security Officer opportunity will:

- Have experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel environment.
- Be a team player who is an avid learner, adaptable and has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
