Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our Demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?

M Group are recruiting a Team Leader to join our Smart Metering Contract within the Water Division.


You'll be responsible for ensuring all safe digging practise is followed such as making sure all utility stats are available and permits for breaking ground are completed using FYLD.

We'll need you to mark up utilities using Cat & Genny and ensure all sites are safe to the public at all times. You'll sure all barriers and signs are in the correct locations and in good working condition in accordance with Street works Regulation along with making sure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are completed and correct. What you’ll bring
  • Do you hold a NRSWA Street works accreditation?
  • Have you gained Manual Handling qualification?
  • Do you have First Aid at work?
  • Do you hold a valid UK driving licence?
  • Have you got proven water industry experience? This is required due to the nature of the role.
  • Have you got Cat & Jenny 1 & 2? This is desired but not essential
