Role overview:
Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the completion of all tasks by supporting the Supervisor in and contributing to the safe working environment, preventing loss/damage to company property.
Responsibilities:

Ensure that all security policies are complied with and enforced
-
Regular patrolling of the site to prevent unauthorised access and prevent the appropriation of company property

Adhere to all company policies and ensure you are working within health and safety guidelines
-
Search staff in accordance with current procedures/policies
-
Be professional and courteous at all times
-
Any other reasonable activities in line with the needs of the business

Ensure staff/contractors/visitors are booked in correctly

Ensure all equipment is booked in/out

Book supplier’s vehicles in and ensure all vehicles are sealed on arrival/departure
Skills and Experience:
-
Experience of working to health and safety requirements

Basic computer literacy skills
-
Able to work under pressure in a busy environment

Works well as part of a team; supportive of others

Communicates effectively
-
Respond to issues quickly, positively in a fast paced and changing environment
-
Experience of working in the security industry - Desirable
-
Knowledge of common law powers in relation to detaining potential offenders – Desirable
