Position: HGV Driver - Class 1 Contract Type: Permanent - 45 hours weekly Location: Livingston Shift: 12-week rotational shift pattern, with start times varying between 16:30 and 08:00, depending on the rota and operational requirements. Salary: £41,535 Join the UK’s premier parcel delivery company What You’ll Do: You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you’re comfortable.    Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 5/6pm. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you’ll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.  Key Role Responsibilities     We don’t micromanage our drivers. We trust them to get the job done and plan their own routes. This job involves trunking to regional hubs on the night shift. So, if you like the independence of being out on the open road for long stretches - but also want to be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift, this is the job for you.  You’ll make sure Cages, Pallets, Freight, Stillages and Yorks get to and from customers bang on time.  At some sites, the goods will be loaded or unloaded for you - at others, you’ll need to do it yourself. Scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks will sometimes be part of your day.   You’ll be responsible for inspecting your vehicle and trailer every day and complete a Defect Report if necessary.   What We Can Offer You: We’re proud to offer a workplace where everyone can thrive. What We’re Looking For Class 1 Driving licence as a minimum Driver CPC qualification card   Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them   Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Laws - and commitment to safe use of the roads
