Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

34-year-old gentleman who lives independently by himself in a 3 bedroomed house in Lobley Hill. has been diagnosed with severe autism, severe learning disability and is non-verbal and profoundly deaf. He can show signs of high anxieties at times, which may become challenging.

It is important that he has a structured routine that is always followed to minimise any distress that may occur due to his diagnoses.

It is important that he has his own space and that he runs his life as he chooses to do so.

It is important to have a consistent approach when supporting him to prevent confusion and frustration.

Mealtimes appears to be his favourite times of the day, and he will indicate when he is ready for his meals by getting his tray.

The staff teamwork a 3-shift pattern which 8am/8pm, 8am/11pm Sleep, 8pm/8am (waking night) Staff are to be fully trained administration of medication, emergency first aid and all mandatory e-learning. Training will also be given in 1 day MAPA disengagements; Autism training will also be given.
