About The Role

The Days and Hours: Monday - Friday 11:00 - 15:00

Hourly rate: £14.33 Location: Warrington, WA3 7PG

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance and Stores person to perform tasks such as repairs, equipment checks, general vehicle upkeep, building maintenance, etc. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.

Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performing general repairs, reactive maintenance, and refurbishment works across the site.
  • Carrying out painting and decorating tasks, including benches, fences, walls, walkways, and other internal and external features.
  • Installing, repairing, and replacing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, door handles, and associated hardware.
  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, applying sealant, and completing minor plumbing repairs.
  • Inspecting, monitoring, and troubleshooting equipment, machinery, and building systems to identify and resolve faults.
  • Maintaining external areas through yard upkeep, jet washing, pothole repairs, paving repairs, and fence construction and maintenance.
  • Completing minor building repairs, including filling holes in walls, repairing posts, and carrying out general fabric maintenance.
  • Safely using hand and power tools to complete maintenance tasks to a high standard.
  • Organising and maintaining store rooms, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are stored appropriately.
  • Maintaining and updating machinery and maintenance logs as required.
  • Supporting the wider facilities team by undertaking ad hoc maintenance duties and responding promptly to site requirements.

About You

All you need is:

  • An attitude to thrive
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Ability to read technical manuals
  • Good communication skills
  • Time and job priority management
  • Ability to carry out the physical aspects of the role
  • We require all of our employees have a basic level of spoken English. This is for communication on safety, and your confidence communicating with members of the public
  • Good social skills to deliver service with a smile
