Hourly Rate: £14.39 Per Hour
Contract: Full Time Permanent 42 Hours Per Week, 12 hours Per Day
Work Pattern: 4 on 4 off including night shift
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As a Security Officer at ABM UK, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises and personnel. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism. You will be part of a dynamic team that is focused on providing exceptional service and maintaining our reputation as a trusted partner in facility management.
Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas of the premises and ensure the security and safety of employees, visitors, and property
- Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities or incidents
- Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely manner and escalate as necessary
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential security risks
- Enforce access control policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the premises
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver security awareness training programs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and react quickly in high-pressure situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
